Imagination is more important than knowledge

Below is my photo taken on the set of the TV show “Fame” in 1984 in Los Angeles. Los Angeles isn’t nicknamed “La La Land” for nothing. Although fantasy and imagination are closely connected, I don’t think they are exactly the same thing. Imagination is something positive. People who entertain fantasies are using their imaginations negatively. I think when imagination is applied positively to fantasy, and then executed like it is in some films, then one has used their imagination creatively, and that is the kind of imagination that is better than knowledge.
The film industry in L.A. is full of creative people with good imaginations, and make good money, who have had very little education and even less knowledge.
I’m using the film industry photo to represent the imagination it takes to make a film. “Imagination is more important than knowledge” should be the mantra of the film industry.

Very on point. Some times, I run scenarios in my head. Thinking of a movie is tough. Ahihihi 😀 You really need a lot of imagination in order to execute it.
