Optimism During a Snow Storm

In response to the Post Weekly photo challenge: Optimistic

Since a snow storm is supposed to happen tonight, I have snow on the brain.  These are photos of people showing optimism during a snow storm.

This person is optimistic that he can push his car to get it going again.  He better call AAA.

These people are optimistic that they will be able to get to where they want to go in their car.  Dream on.

Night Falls on Port Richmond, Staten Island, New York, USA.

First settled by the Dutch in the 1600’s, Port Richmond is where I live.  Although it’s one of the oldest and poorest communities on Staten Island, it’s not totally uninteresting.  It’s the largest Hispanic community on Staten Island.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Ilumination

These are a few of my photos that I took one warm Saturday night in Times Square in winter of 2010 when I had nothing better to do.  Times Square has to be one of  the most illuminated places on earth.
