City of Tomorrow, Version 2

Now more of a collage, since DT’s face is pasted in. I couldn’t draw him.

Decorative Art

I consider most of my paintings decorative art.  They brighten up and add interest to a room.  At least they do that to my rooms.  Not intended to give one a life-changing experience.  Here are a few I’ve done lately.

Marker Pen on 12″ x 12″ canvas mounted on 20″ x 20″ unpainted canvas.

The Forest (Acrylic & marker pen on 2″ x 2″ wood panel)

Dark Days of Winter in Port Richmond, Staten Island, NY

All I’m doing these days is watching snow come down.  Keeping lots of food outside for the homeless cats and birds.  Knitting while watching TV or Inspector Morris videos on YouTube. I’m trying to read (“Crime & Punishment”), but reading makes me sleepy so then I go on Twitter to wake me up and end up being there for an hour or two.  And making op art/zentangle pictures:  below are some examples:

My latest designs?

It’s been so long since I’ve blogged on this site, I’ve almost forgotten how to do it.  I’ve been so involved in politics and the election that I spend most of my time on Twitter.

However, I’m back at trying to do art again.  I’ve about lost all interest in photography.  My current projects are these designs where I’m combining op art with zentangle.  Began using colored pencils, but now am using Prismacolor markers on which I’ve spent a fortune.  I guess it’s worth it if I get some kind of satisfaction out of it.
